POLITE DRESS
- White or light colored shirt ( tucked in neatly
)
- Male students must wear dark colored or light
colored trousers
Female students must wear dark colored or light
colored skirt.
- Male dark colored leather shoes. Closed shoes
or ankle strapping shoes.
Female cover the feet or with straps at ankle.
Restrictions:
Trousers or skirts made from Jean material; corduroy
or velvet is not allowed.
When to wear polite dress
ABAC student must dress politely during University
office hours. This applies whether students have Class,
or not. The duration is from semester commencement
to the last day of final examination.
CAUAL DRESS
- Cotton shirt, sports shirt and T-shirt (type
not used to be worn underneath another shirt.) Must
be tucked into trousers or skirts. Singles/singlets
are not allowed.
- Closed shoes or ankle strapping shoes. Students
should not wear step on shoe soles. Slippers are
not allowed.
- Male student must wear trousers that are neat
and polite.
Female students must wear skirt or trousers that
are neat and polite
When to wear casual dress.
ABAC Students may dress casual dress on the holiday
and during the summer session.
Important rules
- During the office hours of any regular semester:
Wearing slippers, stepping on shoe sole, T-shirts,
skirts not tucked into trousers/skirts, trousers,
skirts made from jeans material corduroy/velvet
are not permitted. This dress code applies whether
students have to attend class or not.
- Office hours during periods between semesters
and during summer session. Students are not permitted
to wear slippers, step on shoes sole or leave the
ends of their skirts/blouses out of their trousers/skirts.
- A semester/session ends on the last day of the
final examination.
- All ABAC (AU) Students are advised that even when
off-campus, if they are found to be improperly dressed
while carrying their I.D. card or ABAC notebook,
the public has the right to report such cases to
the office of discipline and violation of dress
code rules apply to such students.
- University alumni or friends of ABAC students
must dress properly while on University campus.
Violation of the university dress regulations
Following are the actions that will be taken against
violators of the aforementioned university dress regulation:
- Students will be given a first warning and will
be ordered to leave or not be permitted to enter
the campus.
- Student's ID card will be confiscated and their
names will be recorded in the Student Affairs Office.
- If they are found in the classroom, student will
be ordered to leave the room and will automatically
given "W" on the subject.
- If they are found in the examination room, student
will not be allowed to complete their exam and will
be automatically given "WF"
- Parole or Suspension will be given to students
who are consistently found violating or are believed
to ignore the University dress code.
Remarks:
- All ABAC lecturers as well as staff have full
authority to give warning to the students. Hence
student are expected to strictly comply with the
warning. Showing any bad reaction to them or intending
not to follow their warning will result in serious
punishment.
- Students of other colleges or universities who
react negatively upon being informed about the dress
code or intending not to follow the warning will
not be allowed to enter the campus and their names
will also be immediately reported to their institution.
