During the university’s holiday break, Dr. C. MacBaine Gigante (Dr. Mac), a long-time Lecturer, Medical Practitioner and Clinical Psychologist involved in International Health and Humanitarian work at Assumption University, received two honors:

1) He was granted Full-Authorisation to Treat Patients by a Municipality in Cebu, the Philippines, and had the great honour to deliver a baby girl to a rural family since his first visit to the Philippines while in the U.S. Military nearly twenty-one years ago;

2) He was awarded a Commission as a Colonel by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, U.S.A., as the result of his previous

Officer’s Commission held in the U.S. Military, and his ongoing charitable work worldwide.
