Subject: Dress Code for all Faculty and Staff members
of Assumption University
Keeping in mind the
high honour and request to the instructions of teaching
and service at Assumption University, the Rector,
empowered under provisions in Section 1, Article 5
of Assumption University regulations governing Principles
of Job Performance of Instructors and Officers, B.E.
2535, herewith announces through Order No.101/1997
that all Faculty and Staff members adhere to the following
dress code on all working days:
- All Faculty and Staff members are to dress appropriately
on all working days whether they are teaching or
working in the office or not.
- All Faculty and Staff members are not allowed
to wear slippers, sport shirts, T-shirts (type not
used for wearing underneath another shirt), singlets,
or inappropriate shorts and must properly tuck in
their shirts.
- Faculty and Staff members are not allowed to wear
trousers and skirts / blouses that are made from
jean, corduroy and velvet.
- Female Faculty and Staff members are not allowed
to wear trousers. Shoes covering the feet or with
straps at ankle are allowed.
Compliance with the above regulations will be deemed
as enhancing the roles of academics and administration
at Assumption University.
